Meet Dr. G
Dr. Garrett McCarter (Dr. G) is passionate about helping people move and function better. It all started in 2014, when he began coaching CrossFit classes. He developed a deep interest in improving form and function with athletes which grew into a desire to become a hands-on practitioner.
He found what he was looking for in chiropractic care. As a form of hands-on, physical medicine chiropractic is focused on restoring function and range of motion while correcting imbalances of the joints and soft tissues. Patient empowerment is central to his approach. Dr. G draws on his experience as a fitness instructor to inspire his patients to take an active role in their treatment plans, providing individualized and accessible tools they can implement in their daily lives to move as fully and freely as possible.
Treatments typically include various modalities, including chiropractic manipulation, joint mobilizations, soft-tissue therapies (IASTM, stretching, cupping, active release, taping, etc.), and active care/rehab exercises. Dr. G works with patients to create an attainable, goal-oriented treatment plan that will get them back to doing what they love. As a fellow weekend warrior and outdoor enthusiast, he is particularly attuned to the needs of the biking, climbing, and running/hiking communities within Tucson.
Outside of the clinic, you can find him exploring the Tucson valley and surrounding sky islands, riding the bike trails, rock climbing, hiking and paddleboarding with his dog (Anaba), spending time with his chickens (Donna, Dolce, and Darby, AKA “The Girls”) and bunnies (Raz and Licorice), or enjoying a craft brew with friends at the best local coffee shops and breweries the city has to offer.
